Add direct references to a passage in a word document(Excel XP, 2003, 2007)

Your Word document has annotations for an extensive calculation. Now you want to add a reference in an Excel fi le to go to that exact passage in the text.
Through hyperlinks, diff erent offi ce documents can be linked to one another. A Word document can be opened through a fi le name that is linked to a cell in an Excel fi le. By default Word displays the start of the text. A link to another position in the document can be made quickly through the clipboard, it is not necessary to use a bookmark. Open both documents together. Then select a word from the respective caption or paragraph. Press [Ctrl] + [C] to copy the data to clipboard. Toggle to Excel and click the cell to be linked. Open ‘Edit | Add as hyperlink’. In Excel 2007 select the command ‘Paste | Hyperlink’ in the ‘Clipboard’ section. Now click on ‘Browsed Pages’ and select the fi le path that needs to be linked. The selected text section from Word appears as a link in the Excel cell. A click on the link leads directly to the passage in Word. If necessary, you can link programs as well to open them directly from excel.
