In the latest Microsoft operating
system, you can dock, maximize
and minimize windows with a key
combination. Unfortunately, the
Aerosnap function does not save the
original window size. This is annoying
if you trigger a function that you don’t really need. If you prefer to arrange the windows yourselves without the intervention of Windows, you can deactivate the function from the Control Panel. However, the option is not very easy to find.
Open ‘Start | Control Panel’ and click ‘Ease of Access’. In the next step, follow the link ‘Ease of Access Center’ and click ‘Make the mouse easier to use’. Deactivate the function in the ‘Make it easier to manage windows’ area by activating the ‘Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen’ option. Then confirm with ‘Apply’ and ‘OK’ and close the remaining dialogs.
