Automatically sending timedelayed mails(Outlook XP, 2003, 2007)

You have again forgotten the birthday of a good friend. To prevent this from happening again, immediately type a greeting mail for next year. Outlook obviously may not send it immediately.
Delayed sending is possible in Outlook. However, the correct procedure for this depends on the computer and network environment.
When you work in a network with an exchange server, you need not check anything else after the prepared mail has been sent, since the server takes care of everything. But in case of a single user computer, the computer and Outlook must be running at the desired time. And the program must be configured in such a way that there is automatic transmission of mails at regular intervals. Otherwise, the timebound email will remain in the outbox till Outlook is active again and till you start a manual transmission.
For a deferred dispatch, first write the mail and then open ‘View | Options’ before sending it. In Outlook 2007, click ‘Options’ and then the icon ‘Delay delivery’ in the multifunction bar. In the ‘Delivery options’ section, activate the checkbox for ‘Do not deliver before’. In both adjoining and active combination fi elds, determine the exact date and time for the desired delivery. Close the ‘Options’ menu and send the mail as usual. Your email is first saved in the outbox and will remain in the outbox till the delivery date, when it is sent automatically without further prompts.
